Best design for tough condition (Highly deviated and Horizontal Wells)
Up to 19 hrs. of Continuous operation time in recording mode
Recording of cement and pipe Integrity at single Run
High resolution evaluation of corrosion for double pipe (inner and outer pipes)
Combination of GEOSERV three Cement+Pipe evaluation tools, SGDT+VAK, delivers an accurate, comprehensive, high-resolution confirmation of the pipe-to-cement and cement-to-formation bond quality and downhole pipe condition.
Casing inspection and monitoring applications with SGDT and MID tools include corrosion detection, identification of inner and outer pipes damage or deformation, and casing thickness analysis for collapse and burst pressure calculations. They are best designed for though condition of wells, where normal wireline applications are impossible to carry on.
MID autonomous magnetic-pulse defectoscope and thickness measuring tool for work in multistring wells. is designed to control technical condition of tubing, casing pipes and downhole filters by a complex of methods including defectoscope and thickness measuring tool, highly sensitive thermometer, gamma-ray logging, pressure sensor and recording measurement results in non-volatile memory.
To scan the entire casing circumferences for full 360° data coverage, the SGDT uses a single GR transducer mounted on on the bottom of the tool. The transmitter emits Gama ray and two separated receiver measures the intensity of GR passed through casing and cement behind casing.
VAK Downhole sonic logging tool Is designed for investigation of cased- and open-hole sections by kinematic and dynamic parameters of compressional, shear and Lamb-Stonely waves.
R1(1-8)...-...R12(1-8) components of electromagnetic field of eddy currents induced in the casing string after a current impulse of 145 msec passes through axial (longitudinal) generator coil. 8 delays are recorded over a time period of 30 msec. The recorded EMF of these 12 receiver coils give detailed metal condition (Integrity) in a 360◦ of cross section and help finding exact location of a defect.
For cement quality control by gamma-gamma method, we mainly apply SGDT tools of different modifications (downhole gamma-flaw detector – thickness gauge). The operation principle of downhole tool is the recording of scattered gamma radiation of single radioactive point source Cesium by probes of various length. - The long probe (40-50 cm) – density meter (Cement inspection) has three, six or eight gamma-ray sensors, equally spaced along the tool, symmetrically about its axis. - The short probe (11-21 cm) – thickness gauge, contains one sensor. Scattered gamma-radiation, recorded by the probe, is determined by using average thickness of casing wall. Casing wall thickness variation by 1 mm leads to readings decrease by about 30 %.
Provides conventional openhole sonic measurements, standard CBL amplitude and Variable Density log, and attenuation measurements, which are less affected by borehole environmental conditions. Combination with SGDT provides a comprihensive veiw of behind casing condition.
